South Africa 1994 to 1996

In 1994 I moved to South Africa to cover the 1994 South African national election and ended up staying for over two years covering the transition from the Apartheid era to free rule.  I started as a photographer for the Daily News in Durban where I photographed the 1994 Election throughout the province.  I later moved to the South African Sunday Times as a photographer in the Durban bureau.  finally, I went to work for the Weekly Mail and Guardian covering land use issues thought out KwaZulu/Natal.  While I was at the Mail and Guardian, it received the University of Missouri Honor Medal for Distinguished Journalism.
