Normally the middle of August is a really busy time of the year for me, but as I slide into semi-retirement, I found myself for the first time in many years with a free August Sunday afternoon. So, I thought I go and check out the Pemberton Slow Food Cycle, where they close off Pemberton Valley Road, which runs for 20 km’s from the Village of Pemberton up though the Pemberton Valley. Riding through the old multi-generational farms is a pleasure, and many have roadside food stands.

The end of the road is the Beer Farmers Brewery, located on an old family farm about 10 km’s from the start of the ride.
Tech Stuff:
Travelling by bike meant travelling light. Two Nikon Z6 cameras, one with a 35mm f/1.8 S lens and the other with an 85mm f/1.8 S. I kept the camera with the 35mm around my neck the whole time and was literally shooting with the camera in my right hand while I was riding down the highway. Luckily enough I didn’t run into anybody while doing that.
