One one of my favourite things to shoot as a newspaper photographer are outdoor summer music festivals. The Squamish Constellation Festival is a local Squamish event run by some friends of mine and had it’s first post Covid run last summer.

I’ve completely changed my camera stet up to a couple of Nikon Z6 cameras and working most in fast f/1.8 prime lenses. it’s a big change from the more traditional set up I’ve been using for the last 25 years or so, but I’m really loving it. Everything, except for the wide crowd shot, was shot with either the Nikon-S 35mm f/1.8 or Nikon-S 35mm f/1.8 lens. I had each one mounted to a separate camera so I could swap between them quickly. I also left them set wide open at f/1.8 for all the shots.
